Fiber optic Suits for OK Go

I made a set of Fiber optic LED suits for OK Go on the occasion of their performance at the Guggenheim museum in New York City. Their performance on ladders in the atrium was part of the event in honor of the Youtube videos that were jury-selected for the Youtube Play exhibit.

The suits were updated for the OK Go GPS event, an 8-mile musical procession through the streets of Los Angeles as part of Range Rover’s City Shapers program.

Each  suit has 200 strands of fiber emerging from the fabric which are illuminated by a collection of programmable RGB LEDs. Integrated sensors allow the suits to respond to the wearers’ movements.
